UW This Season: One of several newcomers to the Cowgirls squad...will look to compete for playing time at the outside hitter position. High School: A three-time All-Conference and All-State selection while attending Lingle-Fort Laramie High School...helped her team to regional championships in 2005 and 2006 while finishing second in the state each of those years...as a senior, she was named the SEWAC Player of the Year and the Scottsbluff Star-Herald All-Region Player of the Year...a team captain through out her career, she was also selected to the Scottsbluff Star-Herald First Team and a Player of the Week...selected to play on the Wyoming All-Star Team...also lettered in basketball where she was a two-time All-Conference and All-State selection...helped her team to a State Championship in 2006 and Regional Championships in 2004 and 2005...an excellent student, she was the Valedictorian of her senior class, a member of the National Honor Society, along with several other scholastic honors and activities. Personal: Full name is Angela Mary Ostrander...born March 15, 1989 in Lapeer, Michigan...the daughter of Howard and Julienne Ostrander...has two sisters, Caroline and Jessica, and one brother, Randy...plans to major in molecular biology. |
