01/26/2012 Wyoming Has 40 Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Mountain West Honors for 2011 Fall Sports11 Cowgirl Volleyball Members Honored Freshman (2011): In her first season of competition, she played in 23 matches and 87 sets with one start...saw her first action as a Cowgirl against Oregon State (8/26/11)...her first career start came against TCU (10/13/11)...averaged 4.11 assists, which was second on the team, plus 1.08 digs per set...in MW matches, she averaged 3.88 assists and 1.16 digs...ranked fifth with 14 service aces (0.29 saps) in MW play...finished with a career high 26 assists against Northern Colorado (10/5/11)...had 20 assists and a career high 12 digs against UNLV (10/1/11)...recorded 19 assists against Milwaukee (9/2/11)...finished with 18 assists against Oregon State (8/26/11)...recorded a career high four service aces against DePaul (8/27/11)...recorded 20 or more assists four times...earned Academic All-Mountain West honors. High School: A two-time letterwinner in volleyball while attending Seven Lakes High School...named pre-season Honorable Mention and to the pre-season watch list in 2010...helped her team to an 11-1 district record and a District Championship while being named First Team All-District her senior year...was also selected to play in the GHAVCA All-Star Tournament...holds the school record for assists per match...was coached in high school by Farah Holder...her 18 Black volleyball club team placed third at the regional tournament and qualified for the Girls Junior National Championships, while her 15 Black Tornados team was second at the Lonestar Classic and the Northern Lights Qualifier...qualified for the Junior Olympics as well...an excellent student, she was a member of the honor roll and was named Honorable Mention Academic All-State.
