Cowgirl Volleyball Announces Signing
March 15, 2000 LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming head volleyball coach Susan Judge has announced the signing of a student-athlete to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Wyoming in the fall of 2000. Here is the signee:
Stefanie Snyder, 5-9, Setter, Alexandria, Minn.: An excellent player, who comes to Wyoming after transferring from the University of North Dakota. As a freshman at North Dakota, broke the single season assist record. A two-year captain and four year letterwinner at Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minn., Snyder helped lead her team to four Central Lakes conference titles and a state championship in 1995. She earned All-Conference honors four times and All-State honors twice, plus an all-tournament team selection at the state tournament. An excellent student, Snyder was a member of the honor roll. She was coached in high school by Bob Huttlestad. Stefanie is the daughter of Ken and Shelly Snyder. She chose Wyoming over several schools including N.C. State and UNC-Wilmington.
"Stefanie has a great attitude and is known for her leadership
qualities, something we always want in a setter. She comes from a very
solid high school and club background, and knows how to win. I know she
will compliment her supporting cast in the strongest ways. Stef has a
year of college under her belt, and I think her maturity will be a
positive for our young team next fall"
