Probable Starters: Here are the probable starters for this week's matches: Cowgirls Host Colorado State During The Upcoming Weekend: The Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball team will host the nationally ranked Colorado State Rams this week. The Cowgirls face the third ranked Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night.
About Colorado State: Wyoming will host the nationally ranked Colorado State Rams on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. They are currently 21-1 overall, 7-0 in the conference, and currently rank third in the latest AVCA Poll. Angela Knopf leads the Rams, averaging 3.30 kills and 1.67 blocks per game. This is the 48th meeting between the two schools, Colorado State leads 30-17. They defeated the Cowgirls, 3-0, earlier in the season in Ft. Collins. The Rams are coached by Tom Hilbert, who is in his fourth season at Colorado State.

About Last Week: The Cowgirls went 1-2 over the weekend by defeating Weber State, but falling to San Diego State and UNLV. With a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth game, the Cowgirls fell in five games to the San Diego State Aztecs on Friday night in Laramie. The Cowgirls took the first and third games 15-9 and 15-6, but fell short in games two, four and five, 15-7, 15-12, 15-8. Freshman Aspen McPartland led the way for San Diego State with 15 kills and 14 digs. Overall, the Aztecs hit .194 (67-34-170) on the night, and had 60 digs. The Cowgirls were led by senior Melody Friehauf, who notched 18 kills, two block solos and hit .448. Wyoming hit only .167 on the night, and had eight total team blocks. In the second match of the weekend, the Cowgirls were defeated by the UNLV Rebels, 15-9, 15-8, 15-4, on Saturday night in Laramie. Outside hitter Leiana Oswald led the way for the Rebels with 13 kills and hit .400. UNLV hit .330 on the night, along with eight total team blocks. The Cowgirls finished the night with a .146 hitting percentage and four total team blocks. Barbie Bragg notched 11 kills and hit .526 to led Wyoming. They would end a two-game losing streak on Monday night by defeating the Weber State Wildcats, 3-1. The Wildcats opened up the game with a 2-0 lead, but the Cowgirls came storming back scoring the next ten of eleven points to take the 10-3 lead. But Weber State had a run of their own to close the gap and tie the game at 14. It would take 17 points in order for the Cowgirls to take game one, 17-15. Once again, Weber State gained the early 3-0 advantage in game two. The Cowgirls would score the next six to take it back, 6-3. The Wildcats would gain game point at 14-8, and eventually win 15-12. Game three saw Wyoming dominate to take a 7-1 lead. The Wildcats would claw away at that lead. With the score tied at eleven, the Cowgirls would close out the game 15-13 to take the 2-1 lead in the match. Wyoming would close out the match in game four by taking the early lead and never look back. They would win the game 15-6 and the match 3-1. Kris Hollingsworth led the way for Weber State with 17 kills, nine digs and a .387 hitting percentage. The Wildcats finished the night hitting .202, and nine total team blocks. For the Cowgirls, junior middle blocker Rachel Lau notched a career high 20 kills, along with five digs and four block assists. Barbie Bragg was also a big contributor with 15 kills and a .583 hitting percentage. The Cowgirls had several season highs on the night with 84 kills, 76 assists and 17 total team blocks. The Cowgirls move to 8-15 overall. They return to conference play on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., as they host Colorado State.
