Happy Holidays everyone!! Well we’ve been done with volleyball for about three weeks now so this is just to kinda sum up the season and let ya’ll know what we’re up to and what we have ahead of us. Like I said, our season has been over for a while now. In our conference tournament, we lost to Utah, which put us out of the tournament and ended our season. Even though we lost and didn’t end in quite the way we wanted to, we did accomplish a lot this fall and as a program we made a huge stride in improvement. For the first in (well I don’t know how many years, but it’s been a while), we ended with 20 wins. We also won some big games, as we beat Utah and won the Cornell and Michigan tournaments. This season was a lot of fun and I feel lucky to have been a part of it. I can remember so many good times throughout the season on and off the court….times that we spent together as a team and memories that stay with us………….chillin in the locker room in Michigan watching our football team, pre-season dorm fun (especially for my friend Hana), ping-pong in the Idaho hotel, the Utah/BYU weekend at home, our awesome home crowds this year, playing CSU in the AA – not the game-just the experience! J Big Booty!, fun times in that racquetball court, seeing Vegas, our Halloween, DDU……….and that’s just a part of it. These past few weeks have been nice, having more time off, trying to catch up with homework, and even enjoy a social life! With finals approaching, everyone is getting ready for the last minute studying and cramming. I think we’re all ready to get out of our classes and end this semester. I know I can’t wait to get home and spend some time with my family and friends back in Tennessee! When we get back from break, we’ll be working out and then practicing again. We’ll have individual practices which are nice, because the coaches can work with us individually and help improve specific skills. Then I’m sure we have a couple spring tournaments. Get it ready for next season girls! Finally, I just want to say thank you to all of our awesome fans, all of the other UW teams that supported us, my coaches and teammates, family, and friends for all of your support and for making this season so special. I love you guys! Merry Christmas and have a great break! - Amy Doman, #1
